AED goes off in northern Tikrit

Salah-il-Din (IraqiNews.com) A police officer was injured when an Adhesive Explosive Device attached to his vehicle went off near his house in al-Asri neighborhood of northern Tikrit on Monday.

Security source stated to IraqiNews.com “The AED explosion resulted in injuring the officer and caused material damages to his house in addition to destroying his vehicle completely.”

“The security forces cordoned the explosion area and transferred the injured to the hospital for treatment,” the source concluded.
