Urgent – Police Commander survives assassination attempt in Mosul

Nineveh, Mosul (IraqiNews.com) The Commander of Nineveh Police Command survived an assassination attempt when an Improvised Explosive Device exploded to the west of Mosul.Security source reported to IraqiNews.com ”The IED, which was emplaced on Haramat area of western Mosul, exploded targeting the motorcade of Brigadier General, Khalid al-Hamadani, who is a director general in Nineveh Police Command,” noting that ”This is the second assassination attempt that Hamadani suffers within two months.””The explosion did not result in any human casualties, but material damages to the vehicle,” the source added.The Brigadier General survived an assassination attempt in 14/ July when three of his bodyguards were wounded due to an explosion of an IED to the south of Mosul. \END\
