Endowments Committee, Hajj& Umra Commission discuss reducing number of pilgrims

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Parliamentary Endowments Committee and the Hajj and Umra Commission discussed reducing the number of the pilgrims in about 20% according to the request of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for the current Hajj season.

A statement by the Endowments Committee received by IraqiNews.com cited “A parliamentary delegation comprises the members of the Committee visited the headquarters of the Hajj Commission.”

“The delegation discussed with the adviser of the Commission, Hussein Jumaa and the general inspector in addition to the directors of the Commissions, the number of the pilgrims for the current Hajj season,” the statement added.

“The two sides discussed reducing the number of the pilgrims in about 20% according to the instructions of the KSA, assuring the necessity of applying this reduction to all sides without exception,” the statement concluded.
