Demonstrations in Najaf, Thi-Qar, Basra started

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The demonstrations calling for canceling the pensions of the parliament members have been started in Najaf, Thi-Qar and Basra provinces.

The reporter of Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) in Najaf stated “The demonstrations started from Sadrain square comprising clergymen, chieftains and security officials in addition to the citizens.”

The reporter of IraqiNews.com in Basra stated “The demonstrations in Basra started near the building of Basra Provincial Council where the demonstrators lifted a leaflets calling to cancel the MPs’ pensions.”

In Thi-Qar, according to the reporter of IraqiNews.com “The demonstrations started from Habubi square heading to the office of the parliament in the city center,” noting that “Thi-Qar Police Command imposed a curfew due to information over targeting the demonstrators.”
