Mayahi calls to resend Unified Retirement law to government

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP, Aziz al-Mayahi, of the Parliamentary Economy and Investment Committee called the parliament chairmanship to resend the Unified Retirement law to the government to set the maximum amount of the retirement salaries.

In a press statement received by IraqiNews.com, he said “The current Retirement law was supposed to have a final response to the calls of the Iraqi people who demonstrated over it and leaving it without the maximum amount will result in wasting the public fund.”

“Setting the minimum amount of the retirement salaries in 400 thousand IQD is suitable to the economy of Iraq and can be increased or decreased according to the income of Ira, but we are surprised over not setting the maximum salaries because it will waste the public fund and contradicts the demands of the Iraqi people,” he added.

He called “The parliament chairmanship to resend the United Retirement law to the government to set the maximum retirement salaries to bring justice and achieve the interests of the Iraqi people.”
