Propagandas in Kurdistan subject to media silence period on Friday

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Independent High Electoral Commission IHEC called all the political entities participating in Kurdistan Region’s elections to commit to media silence period related to the election’s propagandas.The IHEC quoted the Head of the Board of Commissioners, Katia al-Zubaei, as saying in a statement received by IraqiNews.com ”All the political entities and the candidates for Kurdistan Region Parliament should commit to the elections law no. (6) of 2013 which stipulates to stop the electoral propagandas (48) hours before the ballot day.”The Kurdistan Regional Government announced next Sunday, after the elections day, as a holiday for all governmental institutions on the occasion of conducting the elections in Kurdistan Region.
