Permanent Representative of Iraq to UN inaugurates new Diplomatic Course

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Permanent Representative of the Republic of Iraq to the United Nations, Ambassador Mohamed Ali Al-Hakim opened a course of the United Nations Institute for Training and Research for new diplomats in New York.

A statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs received by IraqiNews.com cited “The Ambassador said at the opening, that the work in the United Nations Organization provides ample space for knowledge on cultures and interests of the peoples in various fields.”

“He noted the importance of working in the UN organization and accuracy and professionalism its needs, in addition to the opportunity of this work which enables to learn the mechanism of international decision-making,” the statement added.

“He stressed the importance of focusing on the agenda and the attendance of the General Assembly meetings which will be held this month at its 68 session and the necessary need of continuing to establish multilateral and bilateral relations with diplomats and employees of the UN Organization, to reflect positively on raising the level of diplomatic work,” the statement concluded.
