IHEC: Highest participation rate scored in Dohuk

Erbil (IraqiNews.com) The Independent High Electoral Commission IHEC announced that the participation rate in the special ballot of Kurdistan Parliamentary elections was reached the highest averages of about 93%.The Head of IHEC, Muqdad al-Sharifi, stated in a press conference held in Erbil attended by the correspondent of IraqiNews.com on Thursday ”The highest rate was witnessed in Dohuk province since it reached 91% and this is the highest rate scored since the foundation of the IHEC.”The special ballot of Kurdistan Parliamentary elections occurred on Thursday where the election centers opened since 7:00 AM till 6:00 PM since the election duration was extended for one hour due to the heavy attendance. \END\
