Shwani rules out endorsing Elections law on Thursday

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP, Khalid Shwani, of the Parliamentary Legal Committee ruled out endorsing the Elections law during its session on Thursday.

Speaking to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com), he said “We rule out endorsing the Elections law during the parliament session on Thursday because it is not ready yet.”

“We had a meeting on Tuesday over this law and the Legal Committee increased its efforts to expedite endorsing it but the disputed points over it are political and needs to be agreed upon to settle this issue,” he added.

He denies “The accusations against the Kurdistani Alliance over delaying the endorsement of this law,” assuring that “We do not have any problems regarding this law, but only regarding the multiple circles and there will be a compromise over this issue.”
