Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Iraqi Foreign Minister Hoshyar Zebari met his Egyptian counterpart, Nabil Fahmi, at the headquarter of United Nations on Wednesday.The Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported in a statement received by IraqiNews.com ”The two sides discussed the means to promote bilateral relations between Iraq and Egypt, especially in the terms of activating the joint ministerial committees and exchanging official visits where both of them expressed satisfaction over the joint understanding between them to address many issues that concern the region’s security and stability.””Within the framework of strengthening the joint Arab action system, Minister Zebari met the Secretary General of the Arab League Nabil al-Arabi at the UN headquarter on Wednesday,” the statement added.”During the meeting, they touched upon the need for structural reform of the Arab League and the role of the Secretary-General in exercising the powers vested in him under the AL Charter to express the will of the Arab countries,” the statement concluded.
