Energy Committee: Weather changes help in stability of electricity in Iraq

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP, Furat al-Sharaa, of the Parliamentary Energy Committee stated that the changes in weather helped in the stability of the electricity in Iraq.

Speaking to Iraqi News, MP Sharaa said “The recent increase of providing electric power to the citizens is a step in the right direction and a good start to end the electricity crisis in the country,” noting that “The Ministry of Electricity exerts huge efforts to achieve this goal in addition to the perfect coordination between the Ministry of Electricity and Ministry of Oil over providing necessary fuel for the stations of generating power.”

“The current improvement of providing electricity power might be due to change in climate and this requires more efforts to guarantee permanent stability for power in 2014,” he assured.

MP Shara expected “providing more electric power for the citizens during the 2014 summer season but this would not reach supplying power for 24 hours as the statements of some officials.”
