Kurdish MP denies political demands to postpone elections

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP, Bayzaid Hassan, of the Taghyeer Kurdish bloc denied any demands of political blocs to postpone the Parliamentary elections.Hassan reported in statement to IraqiNews.com ”The Iraqi Constitution stipulates that the timeline of the Parliament is limited by four years, and there is not any law article refers to postpone the elections, and the elections should be held (45) days before the end of duration of current Parliament.””The postponing of elections will harm the democracy of the reputation of Iraq internationally while holding the elections on time will preserve sovereignty of Iraq and his democratic system,” he added, stressing that ”There are not any political blocs that demanded to postpone holding of elections,””The upcoming elections will change the Federal Government and the distribution of political map in the Parliament,” he concluded. \END\
