Urgent – Police force environs Wasit PC to arrest its Chairman

Wasit (IraqiNews.com) A police force in Wasit environs the building of Wasit Provincial Council to arrest its Chairman on the background of dismissing the Commander of Wasit Police Directorate.

A source within Wasit PC stated to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) “A police force within Wasit PD environs the building of Wasit PC to arrest its Chairman, Mazin al-Zamili, of the Sadr Trend on the background of dismissing the Commander of Wasit PD, Shakir Jawdat.”

“The security forces are trying to storm into the building to arrest Zamili where the security situation is tensed in the city,” the source concluded.

It is worth mentioning that Wasit PC voted on dismissing Jawdat and assigning Alaa Gharib, in his post.
