Sadrist MP: Major blocs hinder endorsement of elections law

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP, Hussein al-Shireifi, of Ahrar bloc within Sadr Trend assured that “Some major political blocs hinder the endorsement of the elections law.”

The Speaker, Osama al-Nijaifi, is expected to visit Kurdistan Region on Saturday to settle the disputes over the elections law.

Shireifi stated to IraqiNews.com “There are gaps within this law including the compensatory seats.”

“The key political blocs hurdle the endorsement of this law draft,” he concluded.
