IHEC: CoC rejects contestations over Kurdistan Region elections’ results

Erbil (IraqiNews.com) The Court of Cassation in Kurdistan Region rejected the contestations against the results of the elections that were held in the 21st of September 2013.

The spokesperson of the Independent High Electoral Commission, Safaa al-Mousawi, stated in a press stated “The judicial committee rejected the contestations against the results f the elections in Kurdistan Region that are about 61 contestation requests.”

“By rejecting the contestations, the court ratified the last results of the elections announced by the IHEC,” he concluded.
