Salih, French Ambassador discuss significance of next parliamentary elections

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Deputy Secretary General of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan, Barham Salih, and the French Ambassador to Iraq discussed the importance of the next parliamentary elections and ensuring the success of the national project to serve Iraqis.

A statement by the PUK received by IraqiNews.com cited “Salih received the Ambassador in Sulaimaniya city on Tuesday,” noting that “Both sides discussed the updates of the political situation in Iraq and Kurdistan Region in addition to regional developments.”

“They emphasized the necessity of upgrading bilateral relations between Kurdistan Region and France,” the statement concluded.
