Double car bombings reverberate in Tuz Khurmato

Salah-il-Din (IraqiNews.com) 48 persons were either killed or injured due to explosion of two car bombs and several bombs in Tuz Khurmato district of northern Tikrit city, the center of Salah-il-Din province.

Security source reported to IraqiNews.com “Two car bombs exploded at the same time followed by explosions of three bombs in Tuz district,” noting that “The explosions resulted in killing and injuring 48 persons and damaging several houses.”

“Police forces transported the dead bodies to the morgue and injuries to the hospital for treatment,” the source added.

Tuz Khurmato district which is resided by the majority of the Shiite Turkmen community witness a series of explosions from time to time, killing and injuring dozens of citizens.
