Muharram security plan declared in Babel

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Operations Command of Middle Euphrates areas declared developing a tight security plan dedicated for protecting the Shiite pilgrims who are heading towards Karbala province across Babel province during the holy month of Muharram.The Commander of Middle Euphrates Operations Command, Lieutenant General Othman al-Ghanimi, declared in a press conference held at the Babel Police Department, attended by the correspondent of IraqiNews.com on Sunday ”The operations command set a tight security plan that included deployment of Army elements and members of the Emergency Forces Regiment, send by the Ministry of Interior, in Mahawil and Mussayib areas of northern Babel.””The roads that link Baghdad to Hilla city were secured by the Army Air Force while the ground forces will carry out proactive security operations to chase terrorist groups,” the statement added.”The Middle Euphrates Operations Command developed comprehensive tight security plans for each of its provinces, Karbala, Najaf, Babel and Diwaniya provinces,” the statement concluded. \END\
