Wasit Police commander kills, injures 3 persons in Babel

Wasit (IraqiNews.com) The Commander of Wasit Police, General Raed Shakir Jawdat, killed a person and injured two others during a car accident in Hilla city the center of Babel province.

“The Commander of Wasit Police committed a car accident while he was driving a governmental four wheel drive vehicle in Hilla city,” security source reported to IraqiNews.com, noting that “The accident caused the death of a civilian and injuring two others.”

Earlier, the Provincial Council of Wasit province has voted to dismiss General Jawdat and replace him with Brigadier Alaa Gharib, amid an objection from the State of Law Coalition bloc.
