Hamoudi praises role of Religious Authority, UN, parliament chairmanship over endorsing Elections law

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The leader within the Supreme Iraqi Islamic Council, Humam Hamoudi, praised the role of the Religious Authority, the United Nations and the parliament chairmanship over endorsing the Elections law. A statement by Hamoudi’s office received by IraqiNews.com cited “We would like to thank the Religious Authority for its recommendations and vital role in endorsing the Elections law.””We also thank the role of the UN Special Representative in Iraq for his efforts in bringing the various views of the political sides closed to endorse this law,” the statement added.”The role of the parliament chairmanship is also appreciated due to holding the meetings with the political sides over this issue,” the statement concluded.
