Iraqi Premier Football League to resume on Friday

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Iraqi Football Association set Friday a date for resuming the third round of the Iraqi Football Premier League.

The head of the Competitions Committee within IFA Shihab Ahmed stated to IraqiNews.com “Three matches will be held on Friday when Masafi FC meets Minaa FC on the stadium of Masafi, while Naft Misan FC will host Dohouk FC,” noting that “Zakho FC will host Baghdad FC.”

He added “Next Saturday will witness two matches when the first will be held on Shaab Stadium between Zawra FC and Karkh FC while the second match will be played in Karbala between Karbala FC and Naft FC.”

“The matches of Shurta vs Talaba, Erbil vs Najaf and Jawiya FC vs Naft al-Janoub FC will be postponed since the players of these clubs are involved in the trainings and the friendly matches of the Iraqi National Football Team to be played in Jordan next week,” Ahmed concluded.
