Zibari meets Polish Deputy Speaker

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Iraqi Foreign Minister met on Wednesday evening the Dpeuty Speaker of the Polish Parliament Tszari Gurbarjic at the building of the Polish Parliament in Warsaw.

A statement by the Iraqi Foreign Ministry received by IraqiNews.com mentioned “Zibari and Gurbarjic discussed the possible means of developing mutual relations between Iraq and Poland on all fields,” noting that “Zibari highlighted the continuity of the democratic process in Iraq through expected parliamentary elections next year and the two elections of the provincial councils and Kurdistan Region in 2013.”

“Both sides also discussed the current developments on the Syrian crisis and its impact on the region,” the statement added, stressing that “The meeting was concluded by confirming the invitation sent to the Polish Speaker and the chairman of the Iraqi – Polish Parliamentary Friendship Committee.”
