Urgent – Turkish Foreign Minister to arrive in Baghdad on Sunday
Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu arrived in Baghdad on Sunday.
A source within the Iraqi Embassy in Ankara stated to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) “Davutoglu will arrive in Baghdad next Sunday accompanied by a key delegation for two days according to a formal invitation by his Iraqi counterpart, Hoshyar Zebari, to discuss the mutual relations and the Syrian refugees in Turkey.”
“Davutoglu will meet with the Vice President, Khudhir al-Khuzaiye and the Premier, Nouri al-Maliki to discuss the latter’s upcoming visit to Turkey,” the source acknowledged.
“The visit will also include meeting the head of the Supreme Iraqi Islamic Council, Ammar al-Hakim, to discuss the Iraqi and regional updates,” the source added, noting that ” Davutoglu will also meet the head of the Iraq National Alliance, Ibrahim al-Jaafary and them head to Najaf to meet the Religious Authority, Ali al-Sistani.”
