Coach Shakir confident of winning match vs. KSA

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The head coach of the Iraqi National Football Team Hakim Shakir expressed his confident of his players’ ability to winning the match versus the Saudi team on Friday.

Shakir said in a press conference held in the KSA and attended by IraqiNews.com “We have worked during the last few days to correct the mistakes we have committed in the home match that we lost vs. KSA in Amman,” stressing “Our players would not commit the same mistakes on Friday match.”

“We got a great benefit from the friendly match that played versus Syria during the training camp we held in Amman,” according to coach Shakir, who added “The Iraqi striker Younis Mahmoud might not join the formation at the beginning of the match since he suffered a slight injury lately.”
