Barzani arrives in Turkey [11/16/2013]

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The President of Kurdistani Region, Masoud Barzani, accompanied by the Turkish -Kurdish artist, Schwann Brewers, arrived in Turkey.

A special report from Turkey received by IraqiNews.com cited “Barzani arrived in the Turkish territory by crossing Khabur border and directed his motorcade to Diyarbakir city to attend a ceremony to be held there in the presence of Turkish Prime Minister, Recep Tayyip Erdogan who will announce his program.”

The report added “Kurdish member of the Turkish Parliament Party (AKP), Mohammad Dindar received Barzani welcoming him in Kurdish language,” noting that “He noted that Barzani was escorted with his entourage, the Turkish -Kurdish artist, Schwann Brewers.”

Earlier, the Kurdistani Regional Government announced on Friday that Barzani will pay an official visit to the Turkish city of Diyarbakir of a Kurdish – majority , at the invitation of Turkish Prime Minister , Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

It is scheduled for the Turkish Prime Minister, Recep Tayyip Erdogan to receive on Saturday, Kurdistan Region’s President, and Massoud Barzani in a visit that was described as “historic” that would allow Ankara to make sure of its support for the threatened peace process with Kurdish rebels.
