Sadrist MP: Political sides delay endorsement of Budget law for personal interests

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP, Hussein al-Shirifi, of al-Ahrar bloc within the Sadr Trend accused some political blocs, that he did not name, of hindering the endorsement of the General Budget law for personal interests.

In a press statement received by IraqiNews.com, he said “The demands of the Religious Authority regarding the Budget are clear where it does not want to involve the political disputes in the ratification of the Budget.”

“All work on exploiting the Budget law to achieve their interest regardless the interest of the Iraqi people,” he added, calling “The political blocs and the MPs to consider the citizens’ interest and disregard theirs.”
