Laheb Sheikh assassinated in Nineveh

Nineveh, Mosul (IraqiNews.com) A Sheikh of Laheb tribal was assassinated in an armed attack to the south of Mosul city.Security source reported to IraqiNews.com ”Unidentified gunmen blocked off the road targeting the vehicle that carries, Sheikh Wes Hussein al-Marer, one of Laheb tribal in Qayara area of southern Mosul.””The gunmen opened fire killing the Sheikh and wounding his son, who was accompanying him, ” noting that ”The victim is the brother of Major General Ibraheem Hussein al-Marer, the member of Nineveh Provincial Council who was also assassinated two years ago by gunmen,” the source added.”The security forces transported the dead body to the morgue,” the source concluded. \END\
