Dispute over oil exports from Kurdistan Region to Turkey be settled by tripartite committee

Yaldiz : Tripartite committee formed to settle exporting of Oil from Kurdistan Region to Turkey

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) Turkey assured its commitment with Kurdistan Regional Government regarding the oil exporting agreement.

The Turkish Minister of Energy, Tiner Yaldiz, mentioned in a speech that he delivered during the Oil & Gas International Conference which was launched in Erbil on Monday ”Turkey assures its commitment towards Kurdistan Region regarding the exporting of Oil from Kurdistan Region to Turkey, yet it still wishes to cooperate with the Federal Government in this regard.’

‘Yaldiz arrived in Baghdad on Sunday evening and met the Deputy Chairman of Energy Affairs, Hussein al-Shahristani, who stressed that any oil extracting or exporting process can be exclusively accomplished by obtaining the consent from the Iraqi Federal Government, represented in the Ministry of Oil.

The Turkish Minister announced reaching an agreement with Iraq to from a tripartite committee of Kurdistan Region, Federal Government and Turkey to settle pending issues related to Oil exports and its revenues.
