Turkish Minister of Energy leaves Iraq with oil export agreements from Kurdistan Regional Government

Yaldiz returns to Ankara

(IraqiNews.com) The Turkish Minister of Energy, Tanir Yaldiz, concluded his two day visit to Iraq in which he met several officials from Kurdistan Regional Government and the Federal Government regarding the agreement of exporting crude oil from Kurdistan Region to Turkey.

Yaldiz answered the questions of the journalists in Ankara ”Turkey did its best in regard of the energy convention which scheduled to be concluded with Kurdistan Region,” stressing that ”The resolution in between the Federal Government and Kurdistan Regional Government now.”

Yaldiz arrived in Baghdad on Sunday evening and met the Deputy Chairman of Energy Affairs, Hussein al-Shahristani, who stressed that any oil extracting or exporting process can be exclusively accomplished by obtaining the consent from the Iraqi Federal Government, represented in the Ministry of Oil, then he head towards Erbil to continue the discussion over the same issue.
