Maliki to discuss Algeria agreement with Iran

(IraqiNews.com) The Prime Minister, Nouri al-Maliki, arrived Iran on Wednesday morning within a two day State visit to discuss the bilateral relations and the recent updates on political arena.

According to news received by IraqiNews.com ”The Premier will meet several Iranian officials to discuss some mutual interest topic such as the 1795 Algeria agreement, related to demarcation of borders between Iraq and Iran.”

The Algeria agreement is an agreement that was concluded between Sadam’s Vice-President and the Shah of Iran, Mohamed Redha Bahlawi, under the supervision of Horai Bomiden, who was the president of Algeria back then, and the agreement identified the borders between Iraq and Iran , though Sadam Hussein revoked the agreement in 1980 which aroused the war between Iraq and Iran for whole eight years.
