Urgent .... Iraq rejects Turkish suggestion over holding 3 sided meeting over oil exports

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) Iraq rejected the Turkish suggestion over holding a three sided meeting that comprises the Iraqi Government, Kurdistan regional Government and the Turkish Government to reach an agreement over extending pipeline to export oil from Kurdistan Region into Turkey.

The Deputy Prime Minister for Energy Affairs, Hussein al-Shahristani, mentioned “The Iraqi Government rejected the suggestion presented by the Turkish Government,” noting that “Kurdistan Region is a part of Iraq and cannot be a part of the deal.”

“We will hold the meeting if the Kurdistan RegionG is a part of the Iraqi delegation which will negotiate with Turkey since the agreement should be concluded between two countries at the Iraqi Capital,” Shahristani concluded.
