Iraqi Ambassador to Pakistan expresses desire of Pakistani President to visit Iraq

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq to Pakistan Mr. Rushdie Mahmoud al-Ani, met President of Islamic Republic of Pakistan Mr. Hussein Memnon.

A statement by the Foreign Ministry received by IraqiNews.com cited “The Pakistani President stressed on the need to develop relations of the two countries, especially as Iraq is a unique place in the hearts of Pakistanis expressing his delight of Iraq to enter the democratic life through openness to the world to and taking its cultural and economic position.”

“Furthermore the Pakistani President expressed his desire to visit Iraq showing his willingness to support the efforts of the embassy in order to develop and strengthen relations between the two countries,” the statement concluded.
