Aftan: Electricity crisis ended in Iraq

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Minister of Electricity Karim Aftan al-Jumaili pointed out that “The crisis of the electricity power has ended in Iraq,” noting that “The new implemented generating units and projects by the ministry aim to consolidate the capacities of the electricity national grid.”

The spokesperson of the Ministry of Electricity Musab al-Mudaris said in a statement to IraqiNews.com Sunday “Minister Jumaili inaugurated last Saturday the Gas Rumaila Electricity Station in Basra province which consists of five units with 292 MW capacity for each unit.”
