Siheil, UN official discuss political updates in Iraq, Region

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The first Deputy Speaker, Qusay al-Siheil, and George Bustin, the Deputy Special Representative of the UN Secretary-General for Iraq, Martin Kobler, discussed the political updates in Iraq and the Region.

A statement by the media office of Siheil received by IraqiNews.com cited “Siheil received Bustin at his office where they tackled the problems of the political process in addition to the security situation as well as the necessity of conducting the elections on time.”

“Siheil called UNAMI to participate actively in finding common ground among the political blocs to solve the disputes,” the statement added.

“For his part, Bustin expressed UN to keep on the dialogue at all levels to settle the disputes and the crises, assuring his regret for the explosion targeting the Iraqi provinces frequently,” the statement concluded.
