Former police commander assassinated in Tikrit

Salah-il-Din, Tikrit (IraqiNews.com) The former police commander of Dour district was killed within an armed attack in central Tikrit city.A source within Salah-il-Din police department reported to IraqiNews.com ”Unidentified gunmen traveling by a modern vehicle opened fire targeting a civil vehicle belongs to the Colonel Wa’el Mawloud al-Douri, killing him immediately, in Zehor neighborhood of central Tikrit city.””The security forces rushed to the incident area transporting the dead body to the morgue and launched a raid-search operation looking for the attackers,” the source added.The deceased victim was the police commander of Dour district and he was dismissed for security reasons. \END\
