Diyala PC keeps session open till electing new governor

Diyala (IraqiNews.com) Diyala Provincial Council decided to keep its session Thursday open till nominating the new governor.

The Chairman of Diyala PC Muthana al-Timimi stated to Iraqi News Thursday “Diyala PC decided to keep its session of Thursday open till nominating the new governor of the province,” noting that “The council did not reach an agreement over the nominee for this post.”

It is worth to mention that Diyala PC has chosen Muthana al-Timimi of the Iraqi National Alliance as the chairman of Diyala PC and Omar al-Karwi of the Iraqiya Slate as his deputy.
