Dori calls to strictly deal with Kurdistan Region over oil exports to Turkey

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP, Etab al-Dori, of the Iraqiya Slate called the parliament to strictly deal with Kurdistan Region over exporting oil to Turkey without the approval of the Federal Government.

She assured in a press statement received by IraqiNews.com “Oil is a national wealth and no one has to conduct contracts for exporting it without the approval of the Federal Government because it results in dangerous consequences on the general budget of the State that largely depends on the oil incomes.”

“Kurdistan Region received 17% of the general budget that is combined from the oil incomes of all the Iraqi provinces and it exports its oil to Turkey and does not share its oil incomes with the Iraqi people,” she acknowledged, showing surprise over “Neglecting this issue by the legislative authority and the Integrity Commission.”
