Mulla urges Maliki to adopt Hakim’s initiative over Anbar

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP Haider al-Mulla of the Mutahidoun Alliance called to activate the initiative of the head of the Supreme Iraqi Islamic Council Ammar al-Hakim to settle the crisis of Anbar.

Mulla said in a statement received by IraqiNews.com on Saturday “We have always stressed the necessity of achieving partnership in running the security file through forming a practical general command for the Armed Forces which is capable of setting the necessary strategies to preserve the Iraqi blood and confront the agendas of terrorism and militias.”

“We have always denoted that the crisis in Anbar has political rather security aspects and roots,” he added.

He mentioned that “We also called the wise men within the Iraqi National Alliance to take the suitable steps towards eliminating the crises,” noting that “We noticed with high respect and appreciation the initiative of Ammar al-Hakim to end the crisis in Anbar since it contained precise diagnosing for the political aspect of the crisis.”
