Basra opposes Government resolution regarding 5 Petro-dollar Law

Basra (IraqiNews.com) The Local Government of Basra province refused the resolution of the Federal Government regarding the 5 Petro-dollar Law and demanded to adopt the Parliament resolution.The first deputy Basra Governor, Mohamed Taher al-Tamimi, reported in a press conference held at Basra Governorate attended by the correspondent of IraqiNews.com “We declares our rejection for the resolution of the Federal Government to deprave the provinces that produce oil from their legal right by reducing the amount to $1 only since the resolution violates the law and constitution where the Parliament voted for the $5 Law at the Parliament session.””The people of Basra will organize demonstrations and stage sit-in till meeting their demands which aim at enhancing the reality of service provided for this province which subject to wars and many challenges since the eighties,” he concluded. \END\
