Northern Babel al-Qaeda leader captured in Nineveh

Nineveh (IraqiNews.com) The Nineveh Operations Command confirmed on Saturday the arrest of a Qaeda leader during a security operation in Mosul.

A statement by Nineveh OC received by IraqiNews.com cited “A security force conducted a security operation in Mosul city on Saturday,” noting that “The force captured the Emir (Prince) of the Qaeda Organization of Northern Babel who is wanted for justice according to Article 4 of the Anti-Terrorism Law as well as 16 arrest warrants.”

The detainee was handed over for specialized authorities, the statement concluded.
