Baghdad Governor: 2 billion IQD allocated for treating cancer cases abroad

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) Baghdad Governor, Ali al-Timimi, announced allocating 2 billion IQD among the revenues of the Petro-dollar allocations for treating the cancer cases abroad.

He said in a statement received by IraqiNews.com “The governorate contracted with an Iranian company to send the cancer patients abroad for treatment.”

“A committee was formed to take the legal procedures and the mechanism of sending cancer patients abroad,” he added.

“The governorate allocated the 2 billion after getting the approval of the Ministry of planning,” he mentioned.

“We have intention to erect a cancer medical center and to equip it with advanced equipments,” he concluded.
