Maliki urges Iraqi Olympic Team to win match Vs. KSA

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki made a phone call with the delegation of the Iraqi football team which will play the final match of the Asian Cup Under 22 against the Saudi counterpart on Sunday.

Malki addressed the delegation during the phone call as saying “The Iraqi People is waiting from you to bring happiness through winning the Asian Cup.”

“We wish your victory to coincide with Iraqi Army’s victories on the Qaeda and terrorism,” he added, noting “We will support you as much as we can.”

For his part, the coach of the Iraqi team, Hakim Shakir assured that “The players of the Iraqi team will do their best to achieve the victory in the match.”

The Iraqi team will play the final match of the Asian Cup U22 versus the Saudi counterpart on Sunday at 18:30 according to Baghdad Local Time in the Omani Capital Muscat.

The Iraqi team will play in green jersey while the Saudi team will play in white jersey.
