Bomb explodes eastern Tikrit

Salah-il-Din (IraqiNews.com) More than 13 persons were either killed or injured due to a bomb explosion at a local market located to the eastern of Tikrit city in Salah-il-Din province.

Security source reported to IraqiNews.com “A bomb emplaced at a local market in Askari neighborhood in Tuz Khurmato district of eastern Tikrit exploded on Saturday noon, killing six persons among them women and injuring seven others.”

“The explosion also caused material damage to the nearby shops,” the source added.

“Security forces rushed to the explosion area, transporting the dead bodies to the morgue and the injuries to the hospital for treatment,” the source concluded.
