IP wounded, 2 militants killed northern Tikrit

Salah-il-Din (IraqiNews.com) A policeman was wounded while two militants were killed during an armed attack launched against Shurqat Police Department located northern Tikrit on Saturday.

“An armed group launched an assault targeting the Shurqat Police Department located northern Tikrit city,” security source reported to IraqiNews.com, noting that “The assault resulted in killing two of the militants and injuring a policeman.”

“The militants escaped to unknown destination after the attack,” the source mentioned.

“Security forces rushed to the attack location and transported the two dead bodies to the morgue and the wounded IP to the hospital for treatment,” the source concluded.
