Speaker of Parliament survives assassination attempt in Mosul

Nineveh (IraqiNews.com) The Iraqi Parliament Speaker, Osama Al Nijaifi survived assassination attempt when an Improvised Explosive Device exploded at a roadside in Mosul city, capital of Nineveh province.

Security source told Iraqi News “The Parliament Speaker, Nijaifi and his brother, Atheel al-Nijaifi, survived terrorist assault as IED went off targeting their motorcade in Mosul. The bombing injured one of Nijaifi’s guards.” Nijaifi has arrived to Nineveh yesterday where he met with the Governor and senior officials there.
