Sadr Trend MPs Jayashi – Shihaili resign from Parliament

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Sadrist MPs Khalid al-Jayashi and Jawad al-Shihaili announced their resignation from the Parliament.

MP Khalid Naeem al-Jayashi said in a statement received by IraqiNews.com “I submitted my resignation from the Parliament to comply with the instructions of the leader of the Sadr Trend who withdrew from the political life,” noting that “I will also withdraw from the political life.”

On the other hand, MP Jawad Ghanim al-Shihaili said in a statement received by IraqiNews.com “I withdraw from the Parliament since the leader of the Sadr Trend Muqtada al-Sadr withdrew his political support for the Ahrar Bloc.”

The number of the Sadrist MPs who resigned their posts in the parliament reached ten MPs due to decision of the Sadrist Leader Muqtada al-Sadr to close his offices all over Iraq and resign the political process.
