Iran condemns latest terrorist blasts in Iraq

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Iranian Foreign Ministry denounced the terrorist bombings that took place in some provinces in Iraq.

A statement by the FM received by IraqiNews.com quoted the Iranian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Marziyeh Afkham, as saying “Undoubtedly, the terrorists and their supporters are seeking to take revenge on Iraqi people and government and to damage the Iraqi democracy and national interests through such inhuman and brutal acts.”

“They are seeking to fuel sectarian conflicts in Iraq and to trigger a civil war in the country,” she added, assuring “Iran`s support for the Iraqi people and government, urging different political groups in Iraq to engage in dialogue to foster national unity and stem the bloodshed.”
