Babel PC : Mussayeb mortar shells launched from Jurf al-Sakher

Babel, Hilla (IraqiNews.com) Member of the security committee of Babel Provincial Council, Falah Abdul Karim al-Radhi, assured that gunmen launched eight mortar shells from Jurf al-Sakher area targeting Mussayeb district of northern Babel.Radhi mentioned to the correspondent of IraqiNews.com ”The gunmen launched eight mortar shells that fell on a residential neighborhood and a popular market in Mussayeb district of northern Hilla,” noting that ”Four of the mortar shells did not explode and the Explosive Ordinance Disposal experts managed to dismantle them without any losses.””The mortar shells were launched from Buhayrat and Bahbahan areas of Jurf al-Sakher area within Mussayeb district,” he added, noting that ”The security forces started a raid operation on the areas in order to arrest the perpetrators.”He continued saying that ”The number of the victims is increasing since the mortar shells hit the most popular neighborhood where the shells hit games hall, primary school, municipal directorate and a popular market,” noting that ”All the houses that were hit by the shells were totally collapsed due to the severe explosions.”During the past few hours, eight mortar shells hit residential neighborhoods in Mussayeb district of northern Hilla city which resulted in killing and wounding dozens of people while the security forces imposed a curfew in the area. \END\
