IA forces join FP in protecting areas of southern Mosul

Nineveh, Mosul (IraqiNews.com) The Commander of the Federal Police in Mosul city, Lieutenant General Mahdi al-Gharawi, declared that Iraqi Army force joined the police forces and controlled the areas of southern Mosul.Gharawi declared in a press conference attended by the correspondent of IraqiNews.com ”The Iraqi Army/ Second Division assumed imposing the law in the areas of southern Mosul as of Qayara crossroad (60 KM) to the south of Mosul till Barari crossroad (170 KM) to the south of Mosul.””The federal police forces succeeded in killing (74) gunmen and arrested (449) wanted individuals according to the article (4) of Anti- Terrorism law in addition to destroying (21) car bombs and destroyed terrorist shelters as well as seizing many weapons and ammunition caches since the beginning of the Revenge for Martyr Mohamed security operation till now,” the statement concluded. \END\
