Urgent – Maliki: Nijaifi hinders nomination of security ministers

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Premier, Nouri al-Maliki, accused the parliament Speaker, Osama al-Nijaifi, of hindering the nomination of the security ministers.

In his weekly speech on Wednesday, Maliki said “Nijaifi and those who target the political process always state that the security ministers are not nominated, but they refuse to ratify the names of the nominees for the Interior and Defense Ministers posts.”

“Nijaifi insists on not voting on the names of the nominees because he wants to show to the citizens that I monopoly these posts in spite of not being assuming the Defense Minister Post,” he concluded.
